The Solar Power Community Center project, implemented in Manica (Mozambique), is a multipurpose facility comprising a 60m² refrigerated storage unit, which also serves as a communal refrigerator throughout the year, the office of the Baruè fruit production cooperative, a small medical dispensary, a computer lab for students of the local school, and a community agora for viewing documentaries, films, and sporting events. The entire facility is powered by a series of solar panels, ensuring energy autonomy during frequent electricity outages. Project implemented by UNIDO and financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
